The township dates back to the late 1800’s when it was established by David Berry. The traditional train station marks the centre of Bomaderry’s CBD. The southernmost train station on the NSW line provides direct public transport to Wollongong and Sydney. Bomaderry features great sporting facilities with an Aquatic Centre, Shoalhaven City Lanes, Artie Smith Oval, Narang Road Tennis Complex and a brand new Indoor Sporting Centre boasting a total of 6 basketball courts. Situated on the Northern bank of the Shoalhaven River and surrounded by pristine bushland Bomaderry is the perfect spot for bushwalking and picnicking. The Grotto Walk, which starts high above the Nowra Golf Course overlooking the Shoalhaven River and descends the escarpment to the riverbank below and Bomaderry Creek Walk are just a couple of an array of options.
