Who are SALT Ministries?
SALT Ministries are a local charity group who provide food for over 150 disadvantaged people from our community every week, as well as providing clothing and a space to connect every Thursday through their Saltbox program. They have had an amazing impact on people’s lives, opening their doors to provide hot lunches, tea and coffee, groceries and clothing all free of charge. They also run a mobile response van that supports homeless people in our community. Their Safe Shelter Shoalhaven initiative is a combined churches and community project aimed at providing safe emergency overnight shelter for the homeless and is located at 134 Kinghorne Street, Nowra.
