The Worrigee Market has had a good start to the year and with all the changes to the First Home Owners grant the signs are very positive for the remainder of 2012!

• First Home Owner Grant (New Home) Scheme
  From the 1^st October 2012, the First Home Owner Grant Scheme will be replaced by the First Home Owner Grant (New Home) Scheme. The new scheme will only apply to first home owners who purchase or build a new home valued at up to $650,000. The grant will increase from $7,000 to $15,000 from 1 October 2012 to 31 December 2013 .

The expectation is this may just bring a new surge of buyers looking to purchase in an area like Worrigee where there is land available to build new dwellings. If this actually happens the boost in demand may just nudge prices upwards and bring some much deserved capital growth to home prices in the area.
